About the Forum

The Youth IGF India Annual Forum 2025 mark its 8ᵗʰ edition, bringing together young voices from across India to deliberate on the future of the internet. The forum provides a platform to understand emerging technologies, policy trends, and digital rights – from AI, data governance, and cybersecurity to digital laws and online freedoms.


Who Can Participate?

The forum is open to all interested participants, regardless of age, profession, or background.

Participation Guidelines

For All Participants

  • Every participant, whether attending offline or online, is a valued contributor to the forum.
  • All contributions made during sessions will be recorded and consolidated into the post event report, which will be submitted to the UN IGF.
  • Active participation is expected throughout the forum.
  • The policy recommendations developed during the forum will be compiled and shared with relevant stakeholders through appropriate channels to ensure wider impact.

Offline Participants (On-Site at Goa)

  • Receive an official Certificate of Participation, recognizing your contribution.
  • Attendance will be monitored for every session to ensure full participation.
  • Meals, refreshments, and swags will be provided during the forum.
  • Dress Code – Formals/Smart casuals

Online Participants (Virtual via Zoom)

  • A Zoom link will be shared with registered participants 2 days prior to the event date.
  • You are expected to attend all sessions at the forum, as your contributions will also form part of the Outcome Document.
  • Active online engagement (via chat, polls, Q&A) will be considered as participation.
  • An official Certificate of Participation will also be provided to engaged online participants.

Recommendations

  • Carry a valid Government ID (Aadhaar/Passport/Driving License, etc.) for entry.

  • Participants coming from outside Goa are encouraged to share their travel plans, so that those arriving at similar times can coordinate and travel together.

1. Is there any registration fee?
No, registration for the Youth IGF India Annual Forum 2025 is absolutely free.

2. Does registration guarantee my on-site participation?
Upon completing your registration for onsite participation, your seat is confirmed. Please note that registration for onsite participation is on a first-come, first-served basis and will automatically close once the capacity is reached.

3. Will travel costs be covered?
Participants are expected to arrange and cover their own travel. However, meals and refreshments during the forum will be arranged.

4. Will I receive a certificate?
Yes, all active participants (offline and online) will receive an official Certificate of Participation.

5. How will online participation work?
A Zoom link will be shared with registered online participants closer to the event date. Active engagement is expected and will count towards certification.

6. What should I bring with me if attending in person?
A government ID, student/organization ID, essentials for Goa’s weather, and a laptop/notebook for workshops.

7. What happens after the forum ends?
All contributions made by participants will be consolidated into the Youth IGF India 2025 Outcome Document and Report, which is officially submitted to the UN IGF as part of the global process.

8. Do I need prior experience in Internet Governance to participate?
No. The forum is open to all who are curious and committed to learning. Beginners are welcome.
