Privacy Policy

Youth IGF India values the trust of everyone who engages with our programmes, and this policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used.

What We Collect

When you register for our events, apply for our fellowship programme, or sign up for our initiatives, we may collect your name, email address, gender, organisation, designation, city, state, country, and optionally your phone number. We collect only what is necessary to organise and deliver our programmes effectively. Some of our events, including the annual forum, are open to participants of all ages, including those under 18, and for these, we collect only what is needed for logistics and participation, used solely for organising and delivering that event.

How We Use Your Information

The information you share with us is used to manage registrations, coordinate fellowship and programme logistics, communicate updates relevant to the initiative you are part of, and where applicable, recognise and celebrate participant contributions such as fellowship announcements or outstanding participation at our events.

Events and Sessions

We use Zoom and similar platforms to deliver online sessions and webinars, and Google Forms for registrations and applications. We do not use website analytics or tracking tools, and we do not sell or share your data with third parties beyond what is necessary to run the specific platform you are interacting with, such as Zoom or Google.

Photography, Recording, and Public Recognition

Our annual forum and select events may be photographed or recorded. Where we intend to feature individuals, including fellows or participants, in public recognition such as social media posts or announcements, we seek consent for that specific event or initiative at the time. Consent practices may vary slightly across our programmes, and details will always be shared with you when you register or apply.

Our Fellowship Programme

Our fellowship programme is open to individuals 18 years of age and above, and applicants are required to confirm this at the time of application.

Participants Under 18

Some of our open events, including the annual forum, welcome participants under 18. We collect only the information needed for their participation, and we encourage parents or guardians to stay involved and reach out to us with any questions about how their child’s information is used.

Your Information, Your Control

You may reach out to us at any time to ask what information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete your information, except where we are required to retain it for the legitimate completion of a programme already in progress. Write to us at youthigfindia@gmail.com for any such request.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated from time to time to reflect how our programmes evolve. We encourage you to review it periodically.
